Christmas shoppers enjoy a taste of Europe
Bavarian Market and Big Wheel come to Leicester.

Shop with a difference from 24 November to 18 December 2005 when over 20 wooden 'hauses' from Bavaria will be erected on Humberstone Gate offering shoppers a unique range of crafts and fancy goods, food and confectionery as well as a traditional 'gluhwein' stall and a traditional 'bierhause'all sourced from Germany.

IT'S BACK! Enjoy the city from 150ft - the 'Big Wheel' will return for a second year on 1 December to 4 January 2006. Seating 169 people at a time, the Big Wheel will provide unparalleled views of the city. the Bavarian market and the stunning Christmas lights.

Christmas Grottos
Leicester will be spoilt for choice with no less than three grottos this Christmas. At each magical venue there will be a passport leaflet for every boy and girl to get stamped. Once completed, pop it into the post box for a chance to win a number of prizes, including £50 to spend at both Debenhams and Dominoes Toys, and family tickets to the National Space Centre, the Haymarket Theatre, and to see Annie at De Montfort Hall. The prize draw will take place on Wednesday, December 21.
