What to do at the weekend, What's on at the weekend?

This weekend could be a parent's treat, where the kids treat the parents … or where parents treat the kids. It could be a celebration or event such as Fathers Day, Mothers Day, Valentines Day or just an excuse to spend some lottery money!

We recognise Mothers' Day and Fathers' Day, both incorporate our grand parents but we don't recognise 'children's' day'. We could argue that everyday is childrens' day to many kids; equally many kids could argue that they too deserve their day.

So, why not make this weekend a family day where everyone gets a treat. Mum might want a break from cooking Sunday dinner and washing up, so find a family friendly pub that serves up good value Sunday lunches.

Check out cinema matinees, these can be great bargains, Odeon (formerly UCI) offer a parents go free deal and children are less that £2.00. So a family of four could visit the cinema for less than a fiver!
