It's The Weekend! About Us

We are a family of four and a dog. Dad, Mum and two girls, an eleven year old and nine year old with special needs.

Weekends are family time and we like to get out and do things. Our weekend activities are generally geared to our budget and sometimes we will push the boat out and look for low cost hotels, then search for a venue local to the hotel.

If money is tight, we'll look to see where kids go free or indeed where entry is totally free. There are some great many free events and attractions in the UK that shouldn't be sniffed at.

Many of them are ancient or historic sites and pets are welcome, the some of the hotels allow dogs.
